How quickly do you lose weight with GLP-1 medications?
Will I gain the weight back after Semaglutide or Tirzepatide?
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are weight management medications first and foremost. The injections alone will not guarantee permanent weight loss. However, our medical team has created protocols within our programs that include additional support to help with lasting weight loss. These supports include body scans, diet guidelines, 24-hour practitioner support, hormone evaluation, and more.
Are weight loss injections better than weight loss surgery?
Do weight loss shots have bad side effects?
Is Semaglutide or Tirzepatide better for Weight Loss?
Both Semaglutide and Tirzepatide offer similar benefits in weight loss as both work to suppress the appetite and help patients feel fuller faster. However, Tirzepatide is a dual receptor agonist which allows for greater glycemic control. On paper, it may seem that Tirzepatide is better, but it depends on the patient’s unique needs. Is anyone a candidate for these medications?
No; you should not take these medications if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. In addition, those with a personal or family history of thyroid cancer should not take these medications.
How soon can I begin treatment?
Within as little as two weeks; once a patient has received the necessary bloodwork and the practitioner reviews it, an initial consult is typically scheduled for the following week.
Why are monthly office visits required?
We require these monthly site visits due to their importance within our model for progress tracking and accountability. With our goal being not to sustain you on these medications for life, but to leverage them in the short-term as a tool to catalyze the weight loss process, getting you excited and optimistic about this new journey, making the lifestyle changes introduced in each phase of the program far less daunting and difficult. Each monthly visit will include a Styku 3D body scan for progress tracking, a consultation with your assigned provider to touch base on diet and exercise routines for purposes of guidance and accountability, and will be given an appropriate dose for the upcoming period based on progress made from the previous visit, as well as where they’re at in terms of their weight loss goal at that point in the program (ie are they tracking towards hitting their goal, falling short of it, or exceeding it, etc). This is a very hands-on model that is tailored to each patient on the basis of their physiology, lifestyle, and overall weight loss goal.
